Win Big Cash Prizes

How do I win big prizes?

Group 1 Sports guarantees a minimum prize pool for every paid game. But that’s just the start.

More players always means more and bigger prizes! The more players that enter a game, the bigger the prizes. The final prizes on offer are locked as the draft closes when the first race jumps.

At least one in five players always doubles their money — with top players winning much, much more.

Player entry fees (minus taxes, fees, and a Group 1 commission) make up the Total Prize for each game. The prize table shows how much prize money gets paid at the end of the day.

Prize tables are dynamic — as more players join, the prize pool grows. The current total prize is shown on each game card on the home screen.

Before confirming entry to a game, tap Game Details to view the current prize table.

How do I score points?

Top 4 horses in each race score points

Points awarded to horses finishing in the top 4 spots in each race. The point value awarded depends on the placing and the race level.

Example

Assume you had Swats That in your stable for Race 8.

The horse came in 3rd place in a Group 2 level race, so you would receive 25 points (as per the table above).

Score points for multiple races in a row to start a Hot Streak

The size of the Hot Streak bonus grows as the streak gets longer. Points are awarded incrementally as the streak progresses.

Example

Assume you had scoring horses in the first three races of a Race Day game.

This means you achieved a 3 race Hot Streak. As per the table above, a bonus of 10 points would be added to your score for Race 2 and 10 points would be added to your score for Race 3.

Because you had no scoring horses in Race 4, the Hot Streak is broken.

A Hot Streak is indicated on the Race Schedule by the flame icon.

Score a Threat bonus for holding multiple scoring horses in the same race

The size of the Threat bonus depends on whether you had two or three scoring horses and the level of the race.

Example

Assume you had both Candy Kiss and Elegant Poetess in your stable for Race 6.

You would first score placing points — for an unlisted level race, you would receive 10 points for 3rd place and 5 points for 4th place.

However, because you hold two scoring horses in the same race, you also score a Double Threat bonus. For an unlisted race, the bonus is 10 points (as per the table above).

This means you score 25 points total for the race — this total is indicated on the Race Schedule card on the main Race Day screen. The bullseye icon indicates that a Threat bonus was achieved.
